WebRTC Startup Temasys Appoints Senior Leaders
Bringing depth and capability to global outreach efforts
SINGAPORE and ORLANDO, FL., – March 18, 2015 — Temasys, a Singapore-based global startup building the next generation of web real-time communications (WebRTC), has announced senior management additions to its team. Joining are David Holloway as Vice President of Commercial and Nadine Yap as Vice President of Product.
Over the past 12 months Temasys has doubled in size as it adds new customers and expands the development of its Skylink platform. Skylink leads the charge to move WebRTC, traditionally seen as a desktop, browser based technology, to become a ubiquitous web communications technology on web and mobile, as well as Internet of Things compatible devices.

Holloway leads Temasys’ international go-to-market efforts. He brings over 25 years’ experience across sales, business development, strategy, general management and human resources with experience in Australia, Asia Pacific and the United States with companies such as BMG, Sony Music, AOL and Microsoft.
Yap oversees product strategy development, product life cycle management and international product execution at Temasys. She has over 15 years’ experience in the digital media industry, and has held roles in business operations, marketing and product development, including as the Vice President of Product at Viki, which was acquired by Rakuten, Director of Product Marketing, Media Products and Solutions at Yahoo! Southeast Asia, and Technical Product and Product Management at Amazon.com.
Temasys offers full-stack solutions for WebRTC, a browser-based technology and emerging standard of peer-to-peer connectivity. Temasys’ WebRTC solutions make it easy for developers and businesses to provide high quality, low-bandwidth audio, video chat and secure data transfer between users via the web, mobile, desktop or embedded within an app. Temasys is recognized for its expertisein leveraging the WebRTC standard, and is actively engaged in its development with senior team members participating on W3C andIETF WebRTC standards committees.
The Skylink platform provides a telco-grade, enterprise ready infrastructure to developers. It aims to drive WebRTC proliferation on mobile applications via Skylink iOS and Android SDKs, on top of its desktop SDKs. According to web analytics researcher StatCounter, mobile internet adoption grew 67% in 2014. Flurry Analytics has estimated that 14% of all time spent by users on iOS and Android connected devices is on browser based activities, whereas 86% is on applications. App Annie has estimated that 60% of iOS and Android users spend their time on messaging apps.
Disruptive Analysis expects WebRTC to be accessible by more than 6 billion devices by the end of 2019, meeting day-to-day communication needs. This follows a trajectory of 1 billion devices in 2014, and 4.6 billion devices, with over 2 billion unique individuals by the end of 2016.
