Evleaks released an official wallpaper from HTC M8, suggesting that the resolution of the new flagship phone to be ‘only’ 1080p. Compared to the iPhone 6, Samsung GALAXY S6 and other phones to be launched this year, the new generation HTC flagship smartphone ONE+, codenamed ‘M8’, has much lower profile. In addition to Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, the screen resolution is rumored to be 1080p.
According to previous news, the M8 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, equipped with 2 GB RAM, UltraPixel main camera, 2.1 Megapixel front camera, available for upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat, and has a 5″ display but with only 1080p resolution. Other highlights include a metallic cover, dual camera, fingerprint recognition technology, and a new Sense 6 User Interface (UI).
Smartphone manufacturers will face intense competition in the first half of 2014. Consumers can anticipate 64-bit processors, more than 3 GB of RAM and 2k resolution displays. HTC ONE and Butterfly S have already been slightly behind their generation’s flagship phones in term of configuration.
