After knowing the core specifications of the Nexus 5 smartphone which includes a 4.95-inch 1080p IPS screen and a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with 2GB of RAM, we are also getting reports of the pricing of these smartphones.
PhoneArena states that the upgraded Nexus 5 handset will still be priced similarly to its previous gen’s at launch. The 16GB version will be priced same as the Nexus 4 8GB at 299USD, while the 32GB will be at 399USD. As compared to the previous Nexus 4 16GB which was priced at 349USD, it is slightly more expensive.
Additionally, the site also reiterated that the 16GB will have a battery capacity of 2300mAh while the 32GB will have a 3000mAh instead.
Consumers will probably have a hard time choosing between the 16GB and 32GB. Other than differences in internal storage capacity, the 32GB version with its increased battery capacity will probably ensure a better usage experience in terms of battery life. However, 100 USD price difference could probably deter potention buyers from getting the 32GB version.
