DVD Drives have seemed to lost their significance when the USB flash drives became a more affordable and practical alternative. Data ranging from Software to Operating System to Media files are now stored in flash drives and distributed. Will DVD be obsolete soon?
Although the number of people using DVDs are decreasing day by day, there is still a huge industry using the technology. Movie publishing companies are still selling movies at retail stores in DVD format. Not forgetting Music CD and even lower quality VCD. I’m sure there are still a few of these pieces of discs lying around in your house! Those previous generation technologies had accompanied me through my childhood, and today, I managed to revive the art of playing media discs on the television with a nifty trick made possible thanks to an ASUS External Slim DVD-RW.
