ASUS has unveiled the GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition, the latest product of its ongoing collaboration with cooling specialist Noctua and the fifth model in the series.
This marks the first gaming GPU to adopt a triple 120x25mm fan configuration, integrating three of Noctua’s new NF-A12x25 G2 fans with a fully custom heatsink. The cooling system features a large vapor chamber supported by seven 8mm and four 6mm heatpipes, representing a substantial upgrade over previous Noctua Edition designs.
In keeping with the series’ focus on acoustic performance, the fans operate at slightly offset speeds to prevent harmonic interference such as humming or vibration. ASUS says this makes the RTX 5080 Noctua Edition significantly quieter than its TUF Gaming and ROG Astral counterparts at the same operating temperatures. The result is a high-performance graphics card aimed squarely at gamers and content creators who prioritize silent operation without sacrificing power.
