BIOSTAR has announced the EdgeComp MS-NANX 8G/16G, a fanless edge AI system built on NVIDIA’s Jetson Orin NX platform. Designed for real-time AI deployment across industrial and commercial sectors, the system delivers up to 157 TOPS of performance in a compact, rugged chassis.
The EdgeComp MS-NANX supports both 8GB and 16GB Orin NX modules, featuring a 1024-core Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor Cores, an 8-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, and LPDDR5 memory with 102.4 GB/s bandwidth. Expansion options include M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G/5G connectivity, while I/O coverage extends to dual Ethernet (1GbE and 2.5GbE with optional PoE), USB 3.2, HDMI 2.1, RS232 with CAN, RS232/422/485, and audio ports.
Built for deployment in harsh environments, the EdgeComp MS-NANX operates between -20°C and 50°C, supports flexible DC power inputs, and maintains a fanless design for reliability in space-constrained settings. It runs on Linux and is fully compatible with NVIDIA JetPack 6.2, providing a developer-ready environment for advanced AI models, including LLMs, VLMs, SLMs, and DeepSeek R1. Optional dual GMSL camera support further expands its vision-based capabilities.
The system is tailored for diverse applications, from automated checkout and shopper analytics in retail, to robotics and predictive maintenance in manufacturing, to traffic management and smart parking in cities, as well as logistics with fleet and warehouse automation, and agriculture with AI-powered tractors, livestock monitoring, and precision farming.
