ASUS has launched the long-awaited ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 which promises the best liquid-cooled GPU in 2023 that is also packed with style.
This groundbreaking GPU is the first to incorporate liquid metal on the GPU die, effectively utilizing its exceptional heat conductivity to rapidly dissipate heat from the core. This heat is then directed to the AIO cooling loop, featuring a custom-engineered cold plate, an embedded pump fan, and an optimized coolant flow rate.
With a 700mm tubing and a 360mm radiator, the system enables a generous liquid flow and ample surface area for heat dissipation, providing sufficient thermal headroom for overclocking this card up to 2700MHz.
The magnetic fans can be easily daisy-chained for a tidy installation, reducing cable clutter while showcasing the impressive RGB lighting.
ASUS also offers a range of exclusive software support for the card, including additional sensors for monitoring voltages within modules, chokes, and power input circuitry. This data is then integrated into the new Thermal Map feature in the GPU Tweak III app, allowing advanced overclockers to unleash the card’s full potential.
The inclusion of the Power Detector+ is noteworthy, as it can identify irregularities in the 12VHPWR cable such as cable misfits and power spikes so that it doesn’t add itself to the total kill count of the notorious power wire.
In addition to the standard Dual BIOS Switch, users can track the card’s usage throughout its lifespan with the Mileage feature. They can also utilize new toggles like One-Click OC or manual sliders to fine-tune the card according to their preferences.
