2 December, 2020, SINGAPORE – At the recent Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2020, world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand, realme, announced that its upcoming flagship, codenamed “Race” would be among the first in the world to be powered by the newest Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 888 5G Mobile platform, delivering faster speed and performance.
In a video speech at the Summit, realme’s CEO, Sky Li said that Qualcomm Technologies has always been one of realme’s most important partners. “Race” is currently under development and with the new chip, is set to deliver an experience that exceeds expectations of users around the world.
realme’s partnership with Qualcomm Technologies first began during the brand’s inception and has since resulted in dozens of high-quality, powerful smartphones across the 4G, and now 5G era.
2020 saw realme become one of the first manufacturers to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip in the realme X50 Pro 5G, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip powered the realme X50 5G.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform, with its powerful performance and 5G capabilities has expanded the possibilities for the development of the new realme “Race”, particularly in the areas of gaming, video and communication.
