Alpha7 Appoints Asia Managing Director along with two General Managers
· James Wong named Managing Director, Asia; nearly 30 years in IT
· Kelvin Woo named General Manager, Channel & Business Development; 20 years in sales and BD
· Ailene Lee named General Manager, General Business Division; 22 years’ in sales and marketing
· 2016 new market expansions: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.
SINGAPORE, 27 January 2016 – Alpha7, a Singapore-based leader in cloud computing solutions and advisory services for business, has appointed James Wong Managing Director for Asia. James brings over 27 years of experience in information technology. He will be based in Singapore, and will drive client acquisitions across the region. Alpha7’s 2016 planned market expansions include Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. The company also announced the appointment of two general managers – Kelvin Woo and Ailene Lee.
Prior to joining Alpha7, James was Managing Director and Head of Channels for Asia-Pacific at NYSE listed A10 Networks (NYSE: ATEN), a network and security solutions company. At A10 Networks he helped grow revenues from US$800,000 to US$10,000,000, as well as oversee regional activities around its IPO. He previously held senior IT leadership roles at Siebel, prior to its acquisition by Oracle, and at Bex.com, an e-commerce business. He was among the first employees of NYSE-listed Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) when it set up its first regional office in Singapore.

Other senior hires are Kelvin Woo, General Manager Channels & Business Development, and Ailene Lee, General Manager General Business Division. Kelvin has over 20 years’ experience in sales and business development in the banking & financial, telecommunications, healthcare and public administration sectors across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Ailene, meanwhile, has 22 years’ experience in sales and marketing, was most recently the Vice President of Sales at SingPost, prior to which she was Assistant Vice President of Airtime Sales at MediaCorp.

According to Global Industry Analysts, Asia-Pacific represents the fastest growing cloud computing market, with revenue from the region projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16 percent from 2014 to 2020. Gartner anticipates the cloud services market in Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) grew 14.2 percent in 2015, to total US$7.4 billion, up from US$6.5 billion in 2014. It forecasts this will rise to US$12.9 billion by 2019.
