At the Samsung Media Day held at the Red Dot Design Museum today, Samsung first showcased the Samsung K Zoom. The upcoming device will be an amalgamation of Smartphone and camera.
Most of the time, when smartphone users want to take a good photograph or a selfie, their smartphones do not sufficiently provide a crisp and clear photograph. K Zoom solves the dilemma of easily taking high quality photographs and bringing a bulky camera.
The first of the K series, the Samsung K Zoom will be operating on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and Hexacore Processors (1.3 GHz Quad-core and 1.7 GHz Dual-core). It will be equipped with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, available in black and white covers. It weighs only 200 grams with dimensions 137.5 x 70.8 x 16.6 (20.2) mm. The display will be 4.8″ HD Super AMOLED (1280 x 720).
The breakthrough lies in the 24 – 240 mm lens, providing 10x optical zoom, in contrast to only digital zoom in most camera smart phones. The image sensor is 20.7 MP 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS Sensor. Additionally, the Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS) further reduces blurriness of photographs.
