Recently, there has been reports on Samsung smartphones exploding and catching fire by itself. It seems that HTC devices are also facing the same issues. Earlier, a HTC One X caught fire when it was being left to charge overnight. Luckily, the event did not cause any injury to the user.
HTC One X is HTC’s flagship product of 2012. It runs on a Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. In fact, there have been many reports on the swelling of the battery within the HTC One X after prolonged usage but none would ever imagine that it will catch fire by itself. We are not sure if it is a manufacturing defect or an isolated case. HTC has yet to make any response to the case.
