Sony sends PS4 Controller for Taiwan’s NCC Certification. Will PS4 be released in Asia along with US?

Sony’s PS4’s DualShock 4 wireless gaming controllers have landed in Taiwan after passing certifications in the United States. These controllers are currently getting certified by Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC).

To our understanding, DualShock 4 wireless game controller can vary in SKU for different regions. Taiwan’s model has a CUH-ZCT1T SKU, where ‘T’ stands for Taiwan. The previous controller that has passed United States’ FCC was CUH-ZCT1U, where ‘U’ naturally refers to USA.

Industry sources stated the possibility that the arrival of PS4’s controller in Taiwan could hint the launch of PS4 in Asia together with North America and Europe.

DualShock 4 wireless controller uses Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR technology for its wireless connectivity. The controller also features a 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port, TouchPad and a physical share button. There will also be a Light Bar found at the top of the controller which is responsible for synchronization with PS4 Eye. The Light Bar can also be customized by game developers for different usage.

Sony also revealed that DualShock 4 controller will be selling for 59USD.
