The photos of the desktop version of the APU was exposed earlier this month and specifications are almost determined and confirmed then. As compared to the previous Trinity APUs, speeds are said to have increased quite significantly. Today, foreign media has exposed that Richland APU first retail prices are slightly higher than previous generation’s.
Five Richland APU prices were revealed. The most low-end A6-6400K which from its name allows us to know that this is a model with unlocked multipliers will be priced at 69 euros, which is about 113SGD. A6-6400K has a single module dual-core design and is clocked at 3.9GHz which can be boosted to 4.1GHz. It is equipped with a 8470D AMD Radeon GPU which has 192 Stream processors and is clocked at 800MHz. All these are packaged within a 65W TDP.
Followed by the A6 are two A8 APUs. They are quad core products, namely A8-6500 and A8-6600K. The former has a default frequency of 3.5GHz and can go up to 4.1GHz and has a TDP of 65W, while the latter has a default frequency of 3.9GHz and can go up to 4.2GHz and has a TDP of 100W. Both products are equipped with a Radeon HD 8570D graphics chip. Although frequency differs for both APUs, they are priced at 109 euros, which is about 180SGD.
The top end Richland Desktop APUs comes from the A10 series. They are the A10-6700 and A10 6800K. which both are equipped with Radeon HD 8670D graphics chip. A10-6700 is clocked at 3.7GHz and can reach speeds up to 4.3GHz and all these are within a 65W TDP. A10-6800K on the other hand has a default frequency of 4.1GHz and can dynamically go up to 4.4GHz. Its TDP is rated at 100W. Both APUs are priced at 139 euros which is about 230SGD.
As relative to current Trinity APUs, Richland APU’s retail prices rose about 5-15%.
