At the back of the tablets are engraved with a “Nexus” branding and the looks of it is very similar to a Nexus 7. If the rumors are true, these units will come with Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad core processors, a 1024 x 600 resolution 7″ display, 1GB RAM and come with Jelly Bean 4.1.1 OS. You will probably get all these goodness in a Jelly Bean tablet for only 99USD.
From the image above, the model number of the tablet is known to be “ME172V” and will use ASUS’s baked UI for Android, meaning that it is not ASUS’s OEM product. Nexus logo at the back of the case suggests that it could be the next generation of Nexus tablet for Google, in continuance of Nexus 7’s unbelievable sales.
Nvidia will be releasing their new Tegra 4 ARM chip early next year at CES 2013. Perhaps the price cuts to Tegra 3 processor is to really pave the way for its big brother’s arrival, giving consumers a good deal before Tegra 3 stops production.
