Just released in the original server of KoreaMS just few weeks ago, are two newest jobs ever created by the Nexon developers. They were named as Battle Mage and Wild Hunter. These two jobs were considered to be under the Resistance class. The Resistance class is not under the Legendary Heroes as some people thought they are initially. This class is considered to be another new class of maple. The resistance class follows the same concept of adventurers as it has four job advancements with the maximum capped level of 200.
Battle mage is one of the jobs in Resistance. It is similar to magician class in Adventurers but the difference between both of them is that battle mage is a combat type job which means it is suitable to hit monsters both at short and long range. This is very useful as Battle mage can easily switch skills when they encounter monsters either near or far. Due to its job as a combat type, it is also counted as one of the tanker jobs as with other jobs such as dark knight and bishop. A tanker job is one such job which has either a high hp like dark knight, or a high mp like bishop and is able to withstand high damage when inflicted by high level monsters especially bosses. This will thus make them more welcomed in bosses recruitment.
In the fourth job advancement of a battle mage, it has one skill called cyclone which transforms a character into a cyclone with a certain time limit and damages monsters at an incredibly high base damage of around 800 when at maxed master level. Though it has a cooldown time of one minute, during the period of time when the skill is casted, monsters are mostly being one hit killed off and this makes training speed up faster by a little.
Another skill in the fourth job advancement of the battle mage is called dark genesis. This skill is quite similar to Evan’s dark fog and other area of effect skills of the Adventurers. Due to its similarity, this skill also hits up to 15 monsters at a whooping base attack of around 1000 at max master level. This ridiculously high damage makes the skill able to allow the monsters that are being inflicted of the skill to die after one hit by the skill. Dark genesis also makes training speed increase by quite an amount even though it also has a cooldown time of a minute. Come to think of it, one minute is not long after all.
Wild hunter is similar to bowmaster or crossbow master in Adventurers as they are all shooters. However, there is one such distinct feature that separates wild hunter from any other job till date that is being released in maple is that a wild hunter always sits on the jaguar and casts skills. The jaguar is just like its other half. Without it, the wild hunter cannot kill any monster.
One of the skills in the fourth job advancement of the wild hunter is called the flash rain. The skill when casted launch a cogwheel in the air which will release an amount of arrows. When the arrows hit the ground, they will cause an explosion and inflict damage to monsters around the explosion. Although this skill also has a cooldown time of one minute, when the skill is being casted, it can seriously hit up to quite a number of monsters in the area and can increase experience gained speed by quite an amount too. One additional advantage of using the skill is because of that the skill’s damage in percentage is freak high, of around 1200% at maxed master level.
Another skill in the fourth job advancement of the wild hunter is called sonic boom. What a creative skill name uh? This skill is quite a strong skill in the sense that not only it deals a massive percentage of damage to a particular monster, when the skill is at maxed master level, it has a 100% chance of stunning a monster for a considerably long time of 12 seconds. This can makes training more efficient because once a monster is being stunned, it has no way to deal damage to the character but instead the character can keep on attacking it with ease.

Wow~ It seems like the resistance class has quite flashy skills as compared to dual blade! Don't you think so?
yea agreed! ^^ i guess the Nexon developers are really working quite hard to make maple a game to be loved by more people. Hahas! 🙂
Probably so. (: But I think that in maple, the coolest thing of all is the area of effect skills that some of the jobs have.
I second that, especially when it comes to the newer classes. The graphics seem to get better and better. 😀
