Great news for business folks who are waiting for AMD's latest AI-enabled desktop processors as the Ryzen PRO family now officially includes the 8040 and 8000 series starting today. AMD Ryzen PRO 8000 Series 1 Although the actual processing power and basic hardware architecture are completely identical to the consumer version, Ryzen PRO has much more under the hood where organizations and businesses to utilize. For starters, IT managers can easily manage multiple systems at once from the start which is deployment all the way across operations until the end of the life cycle. The chip itself comes with extra security features including a dedicated security processor Microsoft Pluton that thwarts cyber attacks at a better rate as well as better software stability and reliability. And now with the power of Ryzen AI which is the innate NPU, one can easily run all sorts of generative AI applications without requiring a dedicated GPU which will make corporate machines much better across the board. Here is the list of SKUs for both series. For the lower-end option, Team Red does give some leeway by not including Ryzen AI in exchange for a lower price tag.
