Yesterday, WhatsApp has announced they are bringing some QoL updates for iOS users in the form of DIY stickers.
Without the need to leave the app (or using 3rd party services), add some fun to your chat by sending “one and only” unique meme stickers to spice up the fun.
Aside from removing the need to drag and drop pictures, the auto crop function as well as editing tools like text, draw, and overlay provides even more customizability.
Once created, it is saved to your sticker tray for future spamming.
Here’s how you do it.
- Open your sticker tray by selecting the sticker icon to the right of the text box
- Select ‘create sticker’ and choose an image from your gallery (Or long press existing ones to edit)
- Customize your sticker by choosing a cutout and adding text, other stickers, or drawing on it
- Send!
iOS 17 and above devices will gain access to this feature in the coming days as the global rollout is happening by phases.
