After a long 8-month gap, AMD has finally released the Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU and it comes with quite the needed upgrade for 2024’s value gamers.
Still aiming mostly for superior 1080p and decent 1440p gaming, the hop from 8GB to 16GB VRAM is a big welcome as this can drastically help pump all those textures to higher qualities as well as streamlining the loading of game assets.
Aside from housing 32 RDNA 3 Compute Units (CU) and dedicated RT accelerators, all the software goodies like FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 and HYPR-RX with Fluid Motion Frames are all ready and waiting to kick it up a notch without overstressing the hardware.
Users can also benefit from things like AV1 encoding and decoding for highly efficient bandwidth utilization in streaming alongisde pushing better performance in AI-driven machine learning and inferencing. And let’s not forget Team Red is the earliest to implement support for futureproof display protocols thanks to Radiance Display Engine.
Lastly, the AMD Advantage program is expanding to allow OEMs to pack all-AMD system at a larger scale and faster rate.
