While Silicon Valley is revealing the next big piece of technology by Apple, OPPO has revealed its counterpart in the form of the OPPO MR Glass Developer Edition device.
Announced to the world at Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2023, this move essentially put OPPO on the map as one of the guys that anticipated the upcoming growth of XR technology with Mixed Reality (MR).
And of course, being a China brand, the MR Glass Developer Edition will be made available to the Chinese market firsthand through the official Snapdragon Spaces Developer Kit and distributed by EnlightXR during 2H 2023.
As for the hardware details, by far we only know it is using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ platform for core processing while the signature SuperVOOC fast charging and heart rate detection function are going to unleash all of the unknown potential when it comes to user interaction.
It also has Binocular VPT (Video Pass Through), dual front RGB cameras, pancake lenses, as well as a 120Hz screen – all sitting nicely within a frame laced with skin-friendly material for comfy sessions.
As for when will this reach other regions? Only time will tell.
