Mobile Guard, powered by Nokia’s NetGuard Endpoint Security network-based anti-malware solution,
works by checking devices accessing M1’s mobile network for signs that it may
be infected by malware. This enables Mobile Guard to offer convenient always-on
protection.

Once Mobile Guard determines that a customer’s
device has been compromised, it will trigger an SMS and e-mail alert to the
customer’s registered mobile number and e-mail address. The customer can then
utilise the bundled anti-malware solution to rectify it.

Detect: Mobile Guard checks all devices accessing M1’s network for malware signatures
Alert: Any infection discovered will trigger an SMS and e-mail message from Mobile Guard to the customer
Advise: The SMS or e-mail will help the affected customer what the malware is, the impact it may have, and how to rectify the situation
Fix: Affected customers can use the bundled Trend Micro Mobile Security app to scan their device and remove the malware. Customers who have not downloaded the app will get a download link and license key for it
