Huawei has just announced the new Huawei G9 smartphone, M2 7.0 and M2 10.1 tablet devices at their product launch event yesterday. Huawei has selected the 4th of May, the Youth Day in China, as the most appropriate day to launch their products that are targeted at youths.
The Huawei G9 Youth edition is a smartphone that is equipped with a 5.2 inch 1080p display. It will be available in blue, white, black and gold options and will be running on Kirin 650 processor that will be coupled with 3GB of RAM. It features a fingerprint sensor at the rear of the device for authentication and has a 3000mAh battery. Moreover it also supports dual-sim multiple networks compatibility in China.
As a mid-end mainstream device, the Huawei G9 Youth does not feature the high end dual camera technology like the P9. Instead, the G9 Youth has a 13 MP and 8MP rear and front camera respectively.
The G9 Youth Edition will be available in China at a price of 1699RMB (360SGD). Preorders can be made from 4th May to 12th May 2016 at Huawei’s online shop, JD.com and TMall.com. Official sales starts on the 13th May.
