Continuing development on the WhiteMagic 5 inch 1080p display, JDI(Japan Display Inc.) has just developed a 5.4 inch 1440 x 2560 resolution WQHD TFT LCD display. Such displays will be suitable for smartphones of the future.
This new product attained the name of being the highest pixel density at 543ppi. It will be able to produce crystal clear images. Their new use of polysilicon technology also promises lower operating temperation, higher transmittance, lower power consumption while still being thin with narrow borders. This new display can make current smartphones even slimmer.
Also at the same time, JDI also came out with a 6.2 inch WQHD display at 473 ppi as well.
