According to Digitimes, Taiwan PC makers have disclosed that in addition to the launch of BayTrial-T platform, Intel will also release their next generation high end Ivy Bridge-E series processors at IDF 2013. IDF 2013 will be held on September 10 to 12 in San Francisco.
It is reported that Intel will launch their new six-core Ivy Bridge-E Core i7-4960X 3.6GHz, Core i7-4930K 3.4GHz and quad-core Core i7-4820K 3.7GHz processors. All these processors are rated at a TDP of 130W.
The three new processors will continue to use the LGA2011 socket interface and will be supported on the current X79 chipset. These processors will not come cheap and is said to be sold at 999USD for the flagship model.
The 22nm Ivy Bridge-E CPUs are not multiplier locked in order for users to overclock them.
