Announced at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the Apple Design Award is awarded to the most innovative iOS and Mac apps, and acknowledges the hard work of the inspired developers behind them. Evernote was one of 11 web developers that received this award, including, for the first time, two student developer awards.
Apple called Evernote 5 a productivity tool that “truly excels on OS X” as it boasts not only an attractive interface, but is also an intuitive and highly functional note-taking service. Evernote 5 maximizes the OS X platform by making use of all relevant OS releases and hardware, in order to provide it’s loyal users the best user experience possible.
The Evernote team wants to thank their loyal users: “Winning the Apple Design Award is an amazing honor,” said Andrew Sinkov, VP of Marketing on the Evernote Blog. “We’re stunned and humbled. Thank you so much for sticking with us.”
Winners will get promotion on Apple’s developer site, as well as a cube-shaped award that glows when picked up. Other winners include WWF Together, an iPad app that lets you experience the world’s amazing animals, and Yahoo Weather, an app that pairs weather forecasts with beautiful photography.
