According to The Verge, there are news that Microsoft is having plans for a Windows Phone 8 update that will be released later this year. Microsoft will allow the WP8 platform to support 1080p display resolution and a quad-core processor. Nokia has responded by seizing the opportunity to come out with a Lumia phablet to compete in the market.
Sources are claiming that Nokia is developing a large-screen smartphone which will have a similar size as compared to Samsung’s Galaxy Note series. The new devices will be marketed under the Lumia series of smartphones.
There are also news stating that the new Lumia PureView phone aka EOS, which has a 41Megapixel camera will be released later in July. Additionally, there are also plans on the successor to Lumia 920, codenamed Catwalk.
