All Ngee Ann Polytechnic Students are entitled to 2 free copies of Windows 8, the 32bit and the 64 bit versions respectively. The downloads are provided by Microsoft for academic institutions under the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance(MSDNAA) programme. The tutorial video below will teach you how to download and prepare the Windows 8 install media from MSDNAA.
It is made known to me that only students from School of InfoComm Technology, School of Engineering and Business IT students have the access to the downloads. Students from other schools and courses can still try their luck, but I won’t promise anything.
Windows 8 will launch in Ngee Ann Polytechnic on the 1st November A launch party will be held at the School of ICT, #31-02-01 (eGarage). There will be representatives from Microsoft coming down to launch Windows 8 and light refreshments will be served.
