ASUS’s IoT department has showcased a brand-new industrial banger in the form of the PE8000G.
This system is designed for edge AI applications by packing a R680E-based motherboard that can hosts either a 12th or 13th Gen Intel Core CPU as the base because the spotlight shines toward the GPU slots capable of accepting two GPUs with each of them getting 450W power budget.
The GPUs can be configured for redundancy or straightforward high-throughput computing for a seamless and real-time AI inferencing even in the toughest condition thanks to the military-grade enclosure and individual parts used for the computer, maintaining the same output and stability through extreme temperature fluctuations, variable input voltages of 8V to 48V, and even physical vibrations.
Looking at the key visual, you can also tell that there are tons of USB ports, VGA Outs, dual Ethernet, HDMI, etc. As such, users will have no trouble connecting legacy and modern hardware together.
ASUS also says that the system will be a good choice for things like AI-driven factories, autonomous driving, and Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA), and more.
