GIGABYTE has announced they are pushing more RAM capacity for its high-end motherboards pretty soon.
Announced in conjunction with the official recognition of Kingston’s FURY Renegade DDR5, GIGABYTE alongside AORUS boards carrying Intel’s 700 and 600 series or AMD’s 600 series chipset will be able to support 64GB DDR5 DIMMs in an upcoming BIOS update, effectively making dual-stick boards showing that 128GB number on screen or 256GB for quad-stick setups.
GIGABYTE will be releasing yet another announcement detailing the actual release but fellow fans will need to go to the respective motherboard product page and click the Support tab, then scroll down to the BIOS section to grab it.
The Q-Flash Plus feature that allows BIOS updates without any other components installed will be super helpful for the DIY shop dudes, on the other hand.
