CHIEFTEC has added a couple of new members to the APEX family dedicated to the “big is good” E-ATX enjoyer.
We’ll take a look at the APEX first. This case doesn’t do something that is “out of the blue” and instead, a very well-made case with a tempered glass panel with part of the package being the 4x 120mm ARGB fans and if that’s not enough, the entire case can take in up to 11 of them.
AIO cooling-wise, one can fit as big as 360mm on the top side or 420mm on the front side while the wide body design can effortlessly host some of the chonkiest and most powerful GPUs in the market that is as long as 400mm.
Rocking an air cooler instead? The case is rated to take in 175mm at maximum but try to give a little bit more headroom for installation clearance and such.
Specifically about the fans, they run in pre-programmed color profiles but can be synced with other peripherals and gears via motherboard headers.
As for the APEX AIR, it is basically the same thing but trades all the RGB for a mesh front that can deliver better airflow so definitely a win for the stealthy and performance-first gang.
