For the people who run or are part of a large WhatsApp group, it could be hard and rude to start a voice call even though you wanna have a chat but everything is going to change. Introducing Voice Chat.
Slightly different than your usual Voice Calls, Voice Chat doesn’t initiate a call ring to all group members and instead, just opens up a voice channel where other people can choose to join the chat or not without getting bombarded by notifications.
Since it is designed to let people join as they wish and in silence, while the session is active there will be a banner showing on the top of the group title to let them hop in within a couple of clicks (Or just click the chat bubble if the tab is right there on the screen).
One can also quickly unmute, deafen, hangup, or continue messaging as usual (Just like Discord, if you used it then you’ll know)
The feature will be enabled for groups with more than 33 members or more and is available right now to selected groups of users and is currently on the way for global rollout.
