myFirst’s latest announcement revolves around several new hardware and software deliveries so let’s find out and see what’s in store.
The kid-centric design language and choices are now further explored through the addition of Momojis – a set of dynamic motion emojis capable of delivering more emotion that also comes with a set of respective sound clips for an interactive way of communicating with friends and families.
On the other hand, the Knock-Knock feature kind of “borrows” the idea of Shorts by letting users share 60-second videos or photos within myFirst Circle. The initiator will first send something that will prompt the rest of the participants to do the same, acting like some sort of status update or check-in.
Lastly, location tracking has been further enhanced to deliver better accuracy now via Smart Classification that takes in the context of the location a child frequently visits and further suggest something similar for parents to look over and consider.
It doesn’t use GPS but instead utilizes Wi-FI SSIDs to track and locate the child’s whereabouts.
As for the new smartwatch, the classic returns in the form of Fone R2 equipped with a high-brightness AMOLED panel that delivers striking visuals even under intense light from the surroundings.
The internal processor has been refreshed to be more efficient with reduced power consumption and in terms of physical form factor, it is 16% thinner and 7 grams lighter than its predecessor so that kids can wear them with comfort too.
There’s also the new Magic Button on the top of the watch that allows single/double/long presses to be mapped towards different functions like “Hold to send voice message to mom”, “Double press for camera”, and so on.
Lastly, the new picture-dedicated Frame Doodle and Frame Live are created for the little kids and grandparents.
Through some smart implementation, little kids can draw whatever they want and be shared with the old folks in real-time via online sync so that each and every moment can be shared with no waiting via the myFirst Circle app.
With this combo, no matter whether the interaction is physical or digital, everyone in the family will be able to be part of the interconnected life.
