GIGABYTE AORUS has revealed what they called the next generation motherboards, the AORUS Z790 X Gen models.
As the name speaks, everything funneled into each of these boards is gonna be top tier. Starting with RAM support, you’ll get DDR5-8266 in XMP from the get-go and potentially even higher as more validated kits come out. It is further supplemented by Back Drilling Technology for enhanced signal integrity so that your system won’t just crash off a little tuning.
They are also amping the DIY building process through the M.2 EZ-Latch Click for screwless M.2 heatsinks while M.2 EZ-Latch Plus applies the same but to the SSD drive itself. PCIe EZ-Latch (Plus) on the other hand does so for the GPU instead.
Moreover, the Sensor Panel Link seen previously in the Z790 AORUS PRO X and B760M AORUS ELITE X models, returns to remove cable routing out of the equation as applicable.
More premiums can be acquired through the selection of the Z790 AORUS XTREME X hosting a 5-inch LCD Edge View display for more styling.
As for thermal control, they deployed VRM Thermal Armor Fins-Array design for up to 10 times better heat dissipation while Nanocarbon Coating passively increased by 10% thermal performance. Dedicated to the AORUS XTREME X and AORUS MASTER X models, they also have M.2 Thermal Guard to take care of the needs of PCIe 5.0 SSDs. The I/O Vent Design plays a minor but welcomed role in heat removal as well.
In terms of build quality, GIGABYTE champions the PCIe UD Slot X as the exceptional one with the seamless one-piece design fastened to a dedicated backplate for significant improvement in load-bearing capacity. Combining that Inner Lining Rubber STrip protecting the PCB of your GPU from scratches, everything is well-built to support your needs.
Lastly, the new UC BIOS rocks a revamped UI/UX design with themes offered by HWiNFO plus Memory Timings Monitor, detailed BIOS info, PerfDrive technology and more.
