Omnidesk Singapore has just announced the launch of their latest standing desk technology – the Omnidesk Ascent. Building on the success of its predecessors, you’ll find that the new desk is improved with features that enable better design and usability.
Let’s cut to the chase – here are five upgrades you’d get with the new Omnidesk Ascent.
1. OmniDesk Life Mobile App
The Omnidesk Ascent emphasises a lot on personalization and improving your quality of life. In order to bring those values further, the new Omnidesk Ascent now works with a companion app – Omnidesk Life.
The app is available on both iOS and Android stores. Essentially, it allows users to easily make use of their mobile devices to control their new desk. The Omnidesk Life connects to the desk via Bluetooth and allows you to do the following:
- Adjust the height of your desk remotely
- Track the time you spend standing or standing at the desk
- Set different lighting styles on the controller
- Save up to 9 configurations and profiles of the table
- Set reminders to stand/sit
- Fine tune other features of the table
2. Brand-New Proprietary Controller
The Omnidesk Ascent also sees the introduction of a sleek controller with a bunch of integrated features.
Based on feedback from its users, Omnidesk fitted its new controller with enlarged buttons for ease of use. It also comes with an upgraded aesthetic – think backlight effects and colour options from a rolling RGB colour to single colour presets ( Sunset, Periwinkle, Ocean, Aqua, Pink or White). There’s even an OLED screen to provide instant feedback to your settings and configurations.
The controller also comes with a single USB Type-A port that allows the powering of USB peripherals at 5V1A. Plug your phone, a USB Fan or lamp onto the controller conveniently.
3. Installation Simplified
5 minutes. That’s the amount of time the Omnidesk team claims that you will take to fully assemble the table. With a revamp on the desk’s constructions, various parts are now integrated into one, providing a more streamlined assembly process.
Without compromising on sturdiness and stability, assembly of the new Omnidesk Ascent is now made a lot more straightforward. Anyone interested to put together their own desk can now do so easily with the Omnidesk Ascent. Regardless, table assembly services are still available for each Omnidesk Ascent purchase.
4. Faster, more stable
If you’re sick of standing at your desk waiting for it to raise to your preferred height, you’ll love that this desk is equipped with a linear actuator that boasts the fastest elevation speed in the market. The lifting mechanism is rated to lift 130kg at 60mm/s, allowing a quicker transition between standing and sitting.
On top of that, to better support the faster speed and overall stability of the desk, the leg structure has also been improved. The newly crafted columns are put together using forged steel, enabling a heavier duty support to the table top and whatever you place on it.
5. Magnetic Cable Tray
One of the key components of choosing a new desk today is its cable management features. The Omnidesk Ascent is designed with a unique magnetic cable tray which is adjustable to the various length of the table top. It acts as a cover to hide all the different cables under the table, while still allowing quick access to them when there is a need to. This design makes it simpler to both hide and access cables whenever required.
Where to get the Omnidesk Ascent
Consumers will be able to begin pre-ordering the desk from the 10th November 2021. As part of an early-bird launch promotion, the Omnidesk Ascent will be retailing at
$850* (U.P $1,298) for those who pre-order before the 6th of December 2021. The price of the Omnidesk Ascent will retail at $950 after the 6th of December.
Consumers will be also excited to know that the Omnidesk Ascent Wildwood will be available for pre-order, and as part of an early-bird launch promotion, it will be retailing at $1,149 (U.P $1,647) for those that pre-order before the 6th of December 2021. The price of the Omnidesk Ascent Wildwood will retail at $1,249 after the 6th of December.
All desks will be available in 48”, 60”, and 72” respectively.
