NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang today delivered the company’s GTC 2020 keynote address via YouTube, unveiling the NVIDIA Ampere architecture and making several key announcements:
- A100 Tensor Core GPU, the first GPU based on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, offering the largest leap in NVIDIA performance to date
- DGX A100, the world’s most advanced AI system, delivering 5 petaflops of performance to power inference, training and analytics on a single platform
- Two EGX Edge AI platform products: EGX A100, the first edge AI product based on NVIDIA Ampere architecture, for larger commercial off-the-shelf servers and the tiny EGX Jetson Xavier NX for micro-edge servers
- NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-6 Lx SmartNIC, a highly secure and efficient 25/50 gigabit per second (Gb/s) Ethernet smart network interface controller
- Application frameworks for accelerated computing, including the Merlin deep recommender framework, GPU acceleration for Spark 3.0, and Jarvis for real-time conversational AI
- NVIDIA Isaac robotics platform selected by BMW Group to enhance its factories
- NVIDIA Clara healthcare platform breakthroughs, including performance, key partnerships and new capabilities to help the medical community better track, test and treat COVID-19
