Google introduced its first-ever Google Doodle powered by Artificial Intelligence in honor of one of the greatest composers of all time – Johann Sebastian Bach. Bach is an accomplished musician and composer during the Baroque period of the 18th century and produced hundreds of music compositions.
With this new Doodle, you can create your very own melody by letting the AI do all the hard work. This is possible thanks to the collaboration between the Magenta, Doodle and PAIR teams at Google. It is powered by a machine learning model that was trained on 306 of Bach’s chorale harmonizations – learning how to recognize common patterns in Bach’s harmonies. Based on these patterns, the machine learning system will then harmonize your created melody in Bach’s specific style.
