Singapore, 30 April 2018 – The TECH4Community Festival – a collaboration between SGTech, the organisation advocating the technology industry previously known as Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) – held over the weekend from Apr 28-29 at Our Tampines Hub, attracted over 15,000 visitors from different segments of the Singapore population, the young and old alike, of various levels of technology literacy.
More than 250 volunteers from SGTech members and 20 participating tech companies provided hands-on tutorials and coaching, making it easy for visitors and participants to learn about technology and improve their digital knowledge.
IMDA announced a collaboration with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to familiarise all segments of the community with the use of technology. The partnership is aimed at empowering citizens to become more confident about using technology in their daily activities.
