At NVIDIA’s keynote address, CEO and Founder Jensen Huang announced their new Q-Max design for GTX 10 series graphics card integration into notebooks. With the new design, manufacturers can equip powerful gaming graphics card such as the GTX 1080 into their notebooks without the additional bulk.
He also showed off the new ASUS ROG Zephyrus notebook that is based on this new design. Based on the demo units available, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus will run on a full GTX 1080 graphics card. These units are slated to be launched later tonight at a ASUS ROG Event held at ATT4Fun in Taipei.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus runs on a quad core Intel Kaby Lake i7-7700HQ processor. It was seen to be equipped with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and runs on a PCI-E NVMe based SSD. We will release more information later after the actual launch of the product.
