Huawei Bags Three Major Awards

Emerged the biggest winner at Asia Communication Award 2017

[Singapore, May 25, 2017] Huawei walked away
with three coveted titles, its biggest harvest ever, at the prestigious 7th Asia
Communication Awards (ACA) 2017, held in conjunction with
CommunicAsia2017.  Huawei won the ‘Vendor Initiative of the Year’ for the
second consecutive year after winning the “Vendor of the Year” awards for 6
years straight.

The Huawei team has been diligently striving
to deliver innovative and socially-responsible ICT solutions to the Operator,
Government and Vertical markets in the past year, and hence, was jubilant when
conferred ‘The Innovation Award’ and ‘The Green Technology Award’, clinching
the most awards for the night, amidst industry peers and competitors.

The panel of judges comprises of fourteen ICT
analysts, researchers and influencers who followed a strict and inclusive
judging format and guidelines to select the deserving winners. The Vendor
Initiative of the Year title was awarded to the “UniCloud Transforming Digital
Services Agility” as the universal cloud enables Telco Operators to deploy
Cloud infrastructure and services, offering comprehensive, scalable, flexible
and cost-effective solutions that help their Enterprise customers align IT infrastructure
with overall business strategy.

“SoftCOM-SDN NRF Achitecture” won the
Innovation Award for successfully re-architecting operator infrastructure for
the age of Cloud. SoftCOM is a revolutionary network architecture that
leverages cloud computing, SDN-NFV (software-defined networking and network
functions virtualization), and internet-based operations to streamline the
Telco Operator’s network and maximize IT resources, which will improve operator
service efficiencies and overall operation.

“Go
Green with Smart Street Lighting Solution” won the Green Technology Award for
its huge potential in reducing energy consumption by up to 80%. Huawei smart
street lighting solution connects street lamps to the IoT (Internet-of-Things)
and adopts a GIS-based (Geographic Information System) management system
enabling cities to enhance the control and performance of every street lamp.
