Tinker Fest, organized by Science Centre Singapore and Imagin8ors connects children, parents and educators and makers in a week-long celebration of the joy of learning through play, exploration and experimentation.
The activities and workshops are carefully designed to facilitate critical thinking, imagination and creativity, as well as to connect multiple disciplines such as art and science through purposeful use of technology to build character traits.
The first Tinker Fest 2017 will take palce from 29th May to 4th June at the Tinkering Studio and is targeted at children aged between 3 to 12 years old. Themed illusions, the week-long festival will be held in conjunction with the upcoming Illusions & Human Perception exhibition.
Through the tinkering of perceptions, children can participate in engaging activities such as tinkering with a kaleidoscope to create infinite patterns, using motors to create fun patterns, or simply using glasses of water to make optical illusions.
