Canon today announced three new cameras in its PowerShot SX and IXUS range. The
PowerShot SX430 IS is equipped with a powerful 45x wide zoom lens, making it
well suited for landscape photography and in capturing details of faraway
subjects.  The IXUS 190 and IXUS 185 are
ultra-compact, intuitive to use while still packed with useful features to make
photography a breeze for anyone. Equipped with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity,
users of the IXUS 190 and PowerShot SX430 IS can easily share their images
while on the go.

Small
but Powerful

With its nifty design and lightweight body, the
cameras are perfect for capturing life’s special moments. Powered by the DIGIC
4+ image processor and a 20 megapixel CCD image sensor, image clarity and
brightness is assured, despite its compact body size.

Using Canon’s ZoomPlus technology, users can
effectively double the zoom range without a noticeable loss in image quality.
With a powerful 45x optical zoom in the PowerShot SX430 IS and ZoomPlus up to
90x, users will be able to get sharp images of subjects at a far distance. The
IXUS 190 and IXUS 185 have 10x and 8x zoom lenses respectively, expandable to
20x and 16x with ZoomPlus.  The PowerShot
SX430 IS and IXUS 190 are also equipped with IS technology to maintain stability
when shooting at long zooms, for sharper images.

Simple
and intuitive interface

With a date stamp function that records the
date and time on the actual image, it becomes much easier for users to keep
track of their memories. A simple glance at the photo will reveal when it was
taken, so user can save on the hassle of checking the EXIF file data on
computer or device. Date stamped photos will also make organization in photo
albums much easier.  

           

For those new to photography, the IXUS 190 and
IXUS 185 has an Easy Auto mode, which disables all non-essential buttons, thus
making it easy for users to simply point and shoot.

Connect,
transfer and upload

For the
utmost convenience to share on the go, the PowerShot SX430 IS and IXUS 190 are
equipped with Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities. Users can connect the camera to their
smartphones, printers and computers, allowing for the swift transfer of images
and videos or even upload directly to social networks like Facebook and Flickr.
With NFC technology, users can tap the camera on another NFC-enabled device,
instantly pairing the two for easy transfer of images.
