Today, United States Patent and Trademark Office granted a patent to Apple for their USB charging head design. The patent is filed under patent no. 9077093. The charging adapter features a new structure for the UK adapter, allowing the pins from the adapter to be folded in for easy storage. This will be a great thing to have for travellers who are looking to save that additional space for another something else. Also, it makes storing of the power adapter in slip cases much more convenient. Moreover, this new design is also said to reduce the possibilities of scratching precious objects when it is in the carrying bag. Due to the use of magnets in this new adapter, the new product is said to have lesser friction, resulting to better reliability and better electrical isolation.
