AMD is going to expand their Richland A-Series with lower powered 45W APU. These new APUs are slated to arrive next week and they include the A10-6700T and the A8-6500T.
AMD’s Richland A-Series lineup its debut earlier in June. They originally came in 100W and 65W parts. The new 45W APUs addition to their whole lineup will allow users who want to build a low powered HTPC and media PCs to have more choices.
The “T” postfix represents a low TDP version of its original model. The A10-6700T is a quad core part with a frequency of 2.5 GHz. Its Turbo Core speeds remain unknown. It has 4MB of L2 Cache and an HD 8650D integrated graphics part featuring 384 shaders that is clocked at 760 MHz which can be boosted to 844 MHz.
A10-6700T has the product code of “AD670TYHA44HL”. It is expected to launch next week at a price of around $150 US.
On the other hand, a A8-6500T will also be launched, but we are unsure of its date of arrival. It will also be rated at a TDP of 45W. The A8-6500T is a quad core part with a frequency of 2.1 GHz. It has 4MB of L2 Cache and an HD 8550D integrated graphics part that is clocked at 720 MHz featuring 256 shaders. The specific model has the product code of “AD650TYHA44HL”.
