Google is likely to announce the second generation of Nexus 7 on the 24th this month at an event hosted by Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice President at Google who oversees Android and Chrome.
It has been seen from the leaked images that Nexus 7 remains to have the same thick bezel design and that the sides are less curved. It looks similar to the current iPad mini and this new design should be easier and more comfortable to hold onto.
The new Nexus 7 will be offered in 16GB and 32GB versions. According to information from retail outlets, it will be selling for 229USD for the 16GB version and 269USD for the 32GB version.
Refreshed Nexus 7 is rumoured to use a 7-inch, 1920 x 1200 resolution screen with a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 1.5GHz quad-core processor. It will have a 5 Megapixel rear camera and a 1.2 Megapixel front camera and a 4000mAh battery capacity. The new version has added wireless charging technology and is likely to run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
