Farragu reiterated that Nokia has been under-performing in terms of the price of their stick at $1.95. He believes that Nokia’s net cash is tight and that their stick is overvalued. He also recommends that Nokia should avoid missing the opportunities to join the Android camp this year and should not rely solely on Windows Phone and Asha line of products.
Ferragu also said that Nokia should consider the prospects for the near future. The company is facing two major structural challenges: the feature phone market is disappearing and Windows Phone market is not performing well. These two product lines will require a lot of cash to sustain for Nokia.
He also concluded that from his analysis, it will be wise for Nokia to convert and jump onto the Android bandwagon as soon as possible. He expects that Nokia will be using Android to power their low end smartphones in this year.
