If you are still sceptical on the authenticity of previous reports, there is some news on the newer operating system today. A week ago, a well-known forum, WinForum exposed a few screenshots of Windows 8.1 Build 9374. A few hours ago, more information of its boot.wim and System32 have also been announced, validating the genuineness of a Windows 8.1 Build 9374.
It seems that Build 9374 has been compiled on March 29, 2013 and it is known as “Windows 8.1 Pro Preview”. This means that Microsoft has already entered a developer preview stage and this version could be released to developers soon (similar to last year’s Windows 8 Developer Preview).
Microsoft BUILD developer Conference will be held in June and Windows 8.1 will be expected to be given out to attendees.
