Microsoft has sent out invitations for the press to attend the launch of Windows 8 and the Surface tablet on the 25th October.

Back in June, Microsoft showcased their new tablet PC to the world at a press event. However, there weren’t any much news from Microsoft about the Surface after that. Not many people have touched or seen the actual product before, and the launch event at New York promised a “Microsoft Surface tablet Press Conference”, feeding the press with all the information and details they need about the device.
The sales of the Microsoft Surface tablet will probably commence on the next day. The actual selling price of the tablet has yet to be known, although previous rumors suggested a price of USD199.
Microsoft will showcase the Surface tablet in details on the 25th October event.
