Heya! In case you’re wondering “OMG WHO ARE YOU!”, I’m Yong Zheng and I’m Zhi Cheng’s classmate! Anyways, I wouldn’t want to bore you with the self introductions so lets dive straight into the game review, shall we? 🙂
I’m a great fan of computer games and this time we’re going to review a game produced by CAPCOM in 2006 called “Devil May Cry 3”. As you can probably guess, this is the 3rd sequel of the Devil May Cry Series.
“Hey! Shouldn’t you start from the 1st sequel?!”
Well here’s the thing. Devil May Cry 1 & 2 are played on the Playstation 2 platform. I don’t have s PS2. LOL. HOWEVER! There will be a review on Devil May Cry 1 & 2 by another blogger blogging about it here so stay tuned!
Devil May Cry 3 is on BOTH the PS2 and PC platforms. I’ve only played the 3rd and 4th series of the game and I’ve already fell in love with it! Reason? JUST BECAUSE EVERYTHING INSIDE IS SO. DAMN. STYLISH!
The Devil May Cry series falls heavily into the hack and slash genre of games.
However unlike other hack and slash games, Devil May Cry has a ‘Stylish Point Counter’. In order to rank up this counter, you have to chain MILLIONS OF different attacks(literally. :D) together. Moreover, you have tons of weapons at your disposal to dish out massive damage to the enemy and at the same time, be STYLISH~
The game also includes puzzles(from way complicated to the blunt obvious) that you must solve in order to proceed on with the missions. In addition, there are lots of surprises and secrets in the game that you can encounter only by exploring every single corner of the mission maps. By discovering these your character can get even stronger as rewards will be given if you can find those 🙂
Notice the top right hand corner? That’s the stylish point counter.
Now if you’re thinking “Man~ How hard can this game be?” Well, an average gamer wouldn’t be able to get past the 2nd mission without at least dying once LOL! Devil May Cry 3 has the hardest difficulty amongst the Devil May Cry series and it will definitely keep your fingers real busy throughout the whole game.
Now as you progress through the game you will get an ability called the ‘Devil’s Trigger’. This trigger will allow Dante(the main character) to transform into another form which will greatly enhance his abilities. You will slash faster, deal more damage, and look way more badass!

Oh and did I mention? If you’re a metal music lover, you’re definitely going to love this game. The soundtrack has tons of metal music which will definitely bring up the mood metre when blasting those demons to smithereens. You will never regret playing this game!
