Asus P8H67-V for Sandy Bridge!
For those who don’t really overclock(but it will be kinda a waste for the new Sandy Bridge unlocked CPUs), or bought CPU that don’t have unlocked multipliers, perhaps you shouldn’t go for the P67. Instead, today I have a H67 motherboard for show.
The H67 is almost identical to the P67, but with extra video output ports at the IO panel. H67 just lacks overclocking abilities.
First thing first, introducing corei9 with 9 pretty girls.
Okay, getting back on track, we look at the package of the Asus P8H67-V
Now a couple shot with beloved i7-2600K,
Next is the accessories, hope there could be more SATA cables, only 2. AND IT’S TIME THEY GET RID OF IDE ALREADY!
How about the actual motherboard? Pretty nice heatsinks. Blue combination with the PCB colour quite nice.
Glad they have all the kinds of outputs for video, VGA/DVI/HDMI. Greatly appreciated, works with all kinds of monitors. Actually, H67 is great for a home media PC don’t you think?
GPU Boost switch lets you automatically overclock your IGP to the performance of a GTX480.(of course not). Will test out the IGP later.
6 SATA ports, with 2 are native 6Gbps Sata revision native to H67 SB chipset. Rest are 3Gbps Sata 2.0
And Lastly, a nice nice heatsink for SB!
12/01/2010- Testing out IGP with 3Dmark03
Today try performance of IGP, also try out the Asus GPU Boost switch on the motherboard.
(not sure if it’s accurate readings from AI Suite)
Initial 850MHz Gfx Core
Score at 11976
GPUBoost 1650MHz Gfx Core. Wah almost 100% increase in clocks!
Score I got was 13147. Not bad, 10% improvement!
BclK OC
Since Multiplier overclocking is not applicable, try with BCLK.
CPU : Core i7-2600k Not bad, highest 107.34
