Biwin has achieved yet another milestone thanks to its newly released Amber CB500 CFexpress Type B card now officially the first in the world to receive VPG800 certification from the CompactFlash Association.
Capable of delivering to 3750 MB/s and write speeds of up to 3500 MB/s, it is made to support high-bitrate 4K, 6K, 8K, and 12K video recording. When paired with Biwin’s Amber RB510 high-speed card reader, it can achieve transfer speeds up to 40 Gb/s, helping creators move from shooting to editing in record time.
VPG800 certification means the card maintains steady write speeds even during long, complex shoots – an essential feature for professionals handling oversampled 4K/6K recording, live broadcast setups, virtual production environments, or VR/AR content creation.
Beyond performance, Biwin designed the CB500 to endure the rigors of professional use. Its aluminum alloy shell and thermal conductive gel work together to prevent overheating during extended recording sessions, while its rugged build protects against shocks, drops, wear, magnets, and X-rays. It’s also engineered to perform reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from -12°C to +72°C.
With storage options from 128 GB up to 1 TB, the Biwin Amber CB500 provides both capacity and reliability, making it a trusted companion for capturing fast-paced action, time-lapse projects, or large-scale productions.
