Epson has expanded its professional printing lineup with the launch of two new signage printers, the SureColor S9130 and SureColor S8130, designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality, high-volume output in the signage industry.
The SureColor S9130 is aimed at premium applications such as luxury brand displays, vehicle wraps, fine art and high-end banners, delivering exceptional image quality through its 11-colour ink set, which now includes a newly introduced Green ink. The SureColor S8130, meanwhile, focuses on productivity with a 6-colour configuration optimised for consistent solid-colour output, making it ideal for routine signage and graphics production.
Both models use Epson’s UltraChrome GS3 eco-solvent ink, certified with Greenguard Gold for low chemical emissions. Hot-swappable dual-size ink packs ensure continuous operation, while the upgraded MicroTFP printheads enhance precision and speed. Epson reports a 5% print speed improvement for the SC-S9130 and a 28% boost for the SC-S8130 compared to previous models.
Productivity enhancements include dual white ink nozzles on the SC-S9130 for faster high-opacity printing, reduced warm-up times from four minutes to 2.9 minutes, and Epson’s Nozzle Verification Technology to maintain consistency without downtime. The Epson Edge Print PRO software also debuts a new “Text Sharpness” mode, improving fine-text and white text clarity.
User-focused improvements are evident in both printers, with a 4.3-inch glove-friendly tiltable touchscreen, integrated media lifter, and a 
flat-top surface that doubles as a workspace. Integrated with Epson’s Cloud Solution PORT, the printers also support cloud-based monitoring, enabling remote fleet management, real-time performance tracking and cost reporting.
